Mobile AppIn Development

AirTruth

A free Android app, in development, that will show the Indian AQI at the user's location on the CPCB scale, with plain-language health effects and precautions for smog season. Its data comes from OAQ, India's Open Air Quality Platform.

Four AirTruth phone screens in dark and light themes, showing an AQI reading with the day's advice beneath it.
Design mockup, sample data.

The problem

Air quality data for Indian cities is spread across several providers, and many consumer apps use the US scale, carry ads, or bury the health advice under the number. Winter smog needs an app that leads with what to do today, tailored to who is asking.

How it works

Advice is grouped by audience (general, children, asthma and COPD, elderly, heart condition, pregnancy) and sourced from CPCB and MoHFW guidance. Data from OAQ and its five providers is credited on the first screen. Requirements, architecture decisions, and a production-readiness review were written before code.

Status

In development toward Android 1.0 on Google Play, targeted for 15 November 2026. iOS and Hindi follow in later releases.
